Re-roofing and roof replacement
When a roof has been patched once too often, a re-roof puts it right for good. We strip the old tiles and the old felt or underlay back to the rafters, then build the roof back up: breathable membrane first, new treated battens fixed in straight, evenly spaced rows, and the tiles on top.

Breathable roof membrane and new battens
The tiles get the attention, but the layers under them do much of the work. A breathable roofing membrane stops wind-driven rain that gets past the tiles while letting moisture out of the loft, which helps to stop condensation. The battens on top of it hold every tile in line.
Older roofs often have felt that has gone brittle or torn, and battens that have rotted or split. We replace them with a breathable membrane, lapped and fixed properly, and new treated battens, whether that is part of a full re-roof or a section of roof being put right.
